The top-of-the-line V-Flex Extreme loudspeaker from Gemme is their Katana, which is one of the most sophisticated little two-ways I've heard in a very long time. I've written about it here, and if you visited Rocky Mountain Audio Show you might have had the chance to hear a pair in the Veloce Audio room.
Haute Fidélité - France's premiere Hi Fi magazine - has just released a review of this model entitled "Le Bij…

I've just returned from the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver, Colorado and I've been reflecting on our time spent there. In all, I think it was the best one ever despite the seemingly light attendance. In fact, I'm not sure what to attribute this "bestness" to, save my own overall feeling that everyone had a wonderful time.

Of course we audiophiles have adapted our sensibilities to account for the lack of pulchritude in great sounding gear such that we may have comp…

I've been meaning to share this with everyone for awhile, and have only just remembered to remember to post something important and interesting.
For those deep enough into this hobby, "break-in" is a familiar word. We work our components for a period of time so that they are stressed to the point of equili…

For a very long time now I've been fascinated with single-driver loudspeakers from afar. Having heard countless iterations of rear-loaded horns and Voight pipes, both from the commercial side of our industry to the DIY side, I was always amazed at the immediacy and impact of the sound, but never quite tempted to go down that road myself. There was always some fairly common co…

The time has finally come to introduce the XV-Ultra. This cable is actually a derivative trickle-down of what we're going to be doing (for a lot more money) in the TOMBO line, which will be introduced to the world this fall and called TRØN. You might call this new XV-Ultra the "Trøn Lite" in a way, as it incorporates some but not all of that cable's performance-enhancing attributes and RF suppression.
We'll soon have a photo of the XV-Ultra to ogle. For now ... just know that it is coming soon,…
